Home at Last
It's hard to believe that we are finally getting settled back into our Wilton home after spending the last 6 months in Jackman, ME. We filled our plates at several Thanksgiving dinners and are now preparing for an early Christmas here in Maine before heading to my 'home' in MN. We're very excited to see everyone and for those who haven't seen our little Haddie to finally meet her. And by the way, her crawling skills will have greatly improved by then I'm sure because tonight marked the night of her first 'crawl'. (Though she's been doing push-ups for days) With Christmas also comes the season of sweets, especially in this household as 'Heidi's Homemade' attended her first craft fair this year where many were excited about the hand-dipped cherries, homemade caramels, buckeyes and the new Amish peanut butter. Dad is booked solid with the Christmas Spectacular underway and the fam is very excited to see the show. Hoping to get some pictures up soon!

missing you
Two and a half weeks never has gone so fast. We had a blast with Grandma and Grandpa here at MRO and it's hard to believe they've already gone home. We loved all the long walks, baking pies and caramel rolls, making towers and crazy potato head creatures, collecting leaves and playing ping-pong over and over again. Grandpa and Roger did a wonderful job building the paintball shed, catching lots of fish, and arguing over countless games of cribbage while downing delicious Giffords ice cream. Thanks for everything Grandma and Grandpa we love you so much and miss you already. Abishai is already talking about going to your house for Christmas on the airplane and getting lots of candy (hmm... wonder who said that?) Love you all!

all in a day's work
It's time to get ready for winter here at camp and Abishai has been ecstatic about the 'digger' Mike's been running. She loves throwing rocks in the big trenches he made to bury the water lines and climbing on the 'sand castles.'

changing of seasons
Fall has come here at MRO along with the need for some extra layers. This morning's temperature hovered around 30 and these cute pumpkin and strawberry hats from a friend came in handy. The leaves are beginning to change and soon the mountain and the surrounding lake will be ablaze with color. A cool breeze blows almost constant now and the smell of autumn is in the air. The girls are growing closer and already seem to be giggling over some little secret.

Keeping in Touch
Life has a way of passing us by and I don't want to look back someday and wonder why I didn't share all those little special moments with you. I hope this will help us remember.
